FAQ for event-season boarding
Do I need health papers and Coggins?
Yes, if you cross state lines. Most states, including Nevada, require a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and proof of a negative EIA Coggins test. Ask your vet to prepare your packet. APHIS
How early should I reserve stalls for December?
Aim for October. NFR, WSTR, Junior World Finals, and Cowboy Christmas bring peak demand across the city. Early booking helps you pick the exact site and stall count you want. nfrexperience.com & wstroping.com
What are your hours and check-in process?
Hours run 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Call ahead if you need late arrival. We follow an equine biosecure intake to protect every horse on the grounds. Contact Las Vegas Horse Ranch
How close are you to the main venues?
Both ranches sit in town near South Point, Thomas & Mack, the Convention Center, and The Orleans. Short drives help you stick to a routine during show days. Las Vegas Horse Ranch Facilities
Do you have space to hand walk or ride out after classes?
Yes. Both sites include lighted spaces to walk or ride, plus round pens and on-site amenities for daily care.
Can I park my rig or camp on site?
We offer trailer parking and limited camping options during heavy weeks. Ask when you book and we will guide you to the right site and dates.
Where do I stay if I want a hotel near the barn?
We list nearby hotel partners on our Overnight Boarding page with addresses and directions. That keeps your commute short.
What if my plans change during NFR week?
Text or call us. We work stalls day by day during the busiest weeks when possible. Openings shift as show schedules change.
Anything else I should prep before hauling to Vegas?
Plan water and feed for the road, bring printed health papers, and keep a spare halter and lead in the cab. If your route crosses multiple states, confirm each state’s entry rules through your vet. APHIS
Have an event to add or a group coming to town?
Tell us. We update this page and can hold blocks for barns or roping teams.
